SERVICE—that is the all-powerful force behind a newspaper. SERVICE means the best feature service, including the great TARZAN strip, and Sunday page, and other timely material that is of interest to every member of the family. SERVICE means getting the Monitor to you hot off the press, whether you live in some city in the county or in the country. This is something new for Hidalgo people, and they are appreciating it for hundreds of new subscriptions are coming in every month.

SERVICE means an editorial policy that has courage and that dares go into matters that are of vital importance to the well-being of the great majority of our people. It means doing our duty when and how we should and as conditions warrant. SERVICE means the best sports page that it is possible to build up, society page, general features, and those things that go to make up a well-rounded newspaper that will be of interest to every member of the family.

The Monitor in SERVING is concerned with politics, only as politics affect our people. These are the things that go to make a GOOD NEWSPAPER, but these things are only possible through the support of business men.
