Full Text

Dublin, May 28. We learn from Belfast, that a great Number of Protestant Families all over the North, are preparing to transport themselves to America; and that, notwithstanding the Care our Legislature have taken to check this Spirit in the People, the same seems to increase every Day; and is now at such a Height, that by moderate Computation, no less than Ten Thousand Protestants will transport themselves this Season. This growing Evil, so prejudicial to the Interest of the Country in general, and to that of our Linen Manufacture in particular, is, as 'tis said, owing to the Landlords, who do not give their Tenants proper Tenures, whereby they are discouraged from making Improvements on their Lands.
