Full Text

The Norridgewock Journal of Tuesday last after stating that the fire in the woods in that vicinity was raging again with increased ardor, and that the smoke was so dense on the Sunday previous as to render it extremely difficult to discover a person at two rods distance furnishes its readers with the following paragraph:

"Distressing Calamity by fire! After our paper was ready for press, a gentleman from Guilford gave us a very minute and melancholy account of the ravages of the fire in that and the neighbouring towns.

We have only time to give the number of buildings destroyed in each town, which is as follows--in Guilford, 4 houses, 5 barns; in Parkman, 1 house, 5 barns; in Dover, 1 barn; in Morristown, 1 house. Total number of buildings destroyed in the above towns, 46--21 houses and 25 barns,

We shall probably give some further particulars in our next."
