COLUMBIA, S. C., March 9. - Bogar Cash escaped to the swamps, but Col. Cash, his father, is a captive. Last night a posse of twelve armed men commanded by the chief State constable, of Richburg, left the city under orders from the governor to proceed to Chesterfield county and capture W. B. Cash, who killed W. H. Richards, the town marshall of Cheraw, and whom the governor had proclaimed a fugitive from justice. The posse arrived at Cash's place early this morning and surrounded the residence. Col. E. B. Cash was arrested, but Bogar Cash, who was sleeping in an out-building, escaped to the swamp, which is now being searched. E. B. Cash, on discovering a picket at daylight, armed himself and attempted to escape. He ran against a member of the posse who levelled his rifle and compelled Cash to drop his weapons.
