Full Text
In Montgomery county Upton Beall and Thomas Davis, are elected electors of the Senate of Maryland. These gentlemen are Federalists.
In Prince George's county, Allen B. Duckett, and Leonard Covington were elected by a majority of about 80 votes; and James H. M'Cullough of the City and Tobias E. Stansbury and John Tolly Worthington, of the county of Baltimore, without opposition. These five electors are friends of the present administration.
In addition to which we have heard from Lower Marlborough, Calvert.
Col. J. Wilkinson, 177 Democratic.
Dr. T. Gantt, 77
Dr. Parran, T. Blake, Esq. 76 81 Republican.
We think it more than probable that the Republican interest will fail, in the state at large, and that of course the Senate of the state will be wholly democratic, and a democratic senator will be elected to Congress.
