Full Text

Grant wants to throttle the press and the Chicago Inter-Ocean talks of the possibility of applying the torch to Democratic newspaper offices. But Grant and the Radical organs, big and little, should remember that the Democratic party in this country is in the majority by at least five hundred thousand and that if, by precipitating revolution, they reap the whirlwind, they will see that it is but the direct result of sowing to the wind.-Gazette.

The old fogy idea that fraud vitiates all things with which it may be connected is exploded. The action of the electoral commission knocks all such silly nonsense as that higher than a kite.
