ATLANTA, Ga.—Some folks may have the impression that the 4-H Club Center at Rock Eagle in Putnam County, near Eatonton, is strictly a summer operation.
But they are dead wrong. Here's proof:
Rock Eagle has been teeming with meetings through November and December. It will be even busier during January and February. For example, Georgia Kiwanis Clubs, the 4-H State Executive Committee, the North Georgia ministerial students, a dairy production short course and others are planning programs there.
Rock Eagle has something going on the year-round, with some of the events attracting from 200 to 400 persons. Since the 13-million center's opening in 1955 some 50,000 people from Georgia and 42 states have attended.
