Full Text

McLeod. The N. Y. American says, the counsel for McLeod, as we learn by a letter of yesterday from Utica, will immediately sue out a writ of error and the case will be carried to the Court for the Correction of Errors, which meets in August.

If the Court of Errors should affirm the decision of the Supreme Court, an appeal lies, and will be taken to the Supreme Court of the United States; and meantime a rule of application of the prisoner's counsel, would doubtless be made by the Court of Errors to stay proceedings in the case until a final decision could be had.
