ORGANIZE NEW ASSOCIATION
SUNDAY SCHOLARS OF EASTERN WASHINGTON AND NORTHERN IDAHO MAY JOIN.

Matter Will Be Brought Before the State Association Which Meets In Spokane In April.

An effort to organize Eastern Washington and Northern Idaho into a state Sunday school association will be made at the eighteenth annual state Sunday school convention which will be held at Spokane, April 25, 26, and 27.

At the present time all of the state of Washington is embraced in the state association but the geographical situation is such that it is believed that better results would be obtained by making a new division and placing the Inland Empire in an association by itself. The matter is being seriously considered and will be brought before the convention next month.

Spokane is arranging to entertain several hundred delegates to the state Sunday school association. A huge procession of all the delegates to march through the principal business streets of Spokane is being planned and many functions for the entertainment of the visitors are being arranged for. Prominent Sunday school workers all over the United States will be in attendance at the convention.

Among the noted ones are: Marion Lawrence of Toledo, Ohio, international general secretary and the leading Sunday school authority in the United States; D. S. Johnston of Tacoma, who attended the fourth world's Sunday school convention at Jerusalem last April and who will give an address on the Jerusalem cruise, which will be inspiring; President S. B. L. Penrose of Whitman college; Daniel L. Rader, D. D., of Portland, Ore., editor of the Pacific Christian Advocate, the organ of the Methodist Episcopal church of the Pacific coast; Rev. George R. Varney of Bellingham, formerly pastor of Grace Baptist church of Spokane; Rev. Herbert Thompson of Everett, formerly pastor of the Presbyterian church at Wilbur; Dr. W. A. Stevenson of Anacortes, state secretary of teachers' training, and President W. D. Wood of Seattle.

Bible Study Hour.

The Bible study hour will be under the care of Miss Gertrude Wylie, professor of Biblical literature at Whitman college. Miss Wylie was trained in the Chicago Biblical institute and the Chicago university and is said to be making a marked success of her work, both at Whitman college and wherever she appears. Each of the speakers mentioned will discuss topics of particular interest and will without doubt be listened to by large audiences.
