Members of the Institute of Maryland Public Affairs met with the judicial group at Southern High school on Wednesday, January 25. Coordinator was William O. Treacy, who gave a general introduction to the entire judicial system. Panel members gave talks on duties and qualifications for the various offices. Speaking were Associate Judge Neil C. Fraley, State's Attorney S. R. Pagenhardt, Mrs. Vernie Smouse, Register of Wills; Richard L. Davis, clerk of the Circuit court. Sheriff Paul Fisher and Trial Magistrate W. O. Bitzer also were scheduled but were unable to attend.
The committee on arrangements included Miss Elizabeth Kildow, Mrs. Elizabeth Randol, Lloyd Winters, Mrs. Mildred Meyer, and Mrs. Theoda Miller. Cookies and coffee were served following the session.
