Y-Teens Spend Hallows Eve For UNICEF

Neighborhoods boasting a Y-Teen neighbor will be called upon to donate to UNICEF on Halloween Eve, Oct. 30. Over one-hundred Y-Teens will be "trick or treating" for UNICEF this year in East Hartford.

Last year the girls collected $120 This year the group hopes to give much more to the sick and starving children of the world. UNICEF collectors will be known by the bright orange stickers they will have around their containers which were donated by the East Hartford Society for Savings.

On Halloween night, the girls will be rewarded for their efforts at a Halloween Party planned for them by the "Pop Y's," a ninth grade club. The party will include a costume parade, Halloween games, a movie about UNICEF, dancing, and refreshments. The affair will be at the East Hartford YMCA.YWCA from 6:30 - 8:30.
