ANCHORAGE STORE ROBBED

The first robbery of its kind in Anchorage in over a year took place several evenings ago when F. E. Parker's grocery store at 339 Fourth street was broken into and robbed of a small amount of cash and a watch and chain. About 6:20 p.m. following his regular custom Mr. Parker locked up the store and stepped next door into the D. D. restaurant for his dinner. He was completing the first course when a passing friend dropped in and said that someone was in his store.

Mr. Parker immediately rushed into his establishment and discovered that the burglar had broken in the glass in the rear door, unlocked it and entered, but had decamped before Mr. Parker's hasty return.
