What is probably the last set of classes in the current first aid course being conducted by the United States Bureau of Mines for employees of the Alaska Juneau Gold Mining Company are now being completed.
Classes are held Tuesday and Thursday at 10 o'clock in the morning and 7 o'clock in the evening, and on Saturday at 10 o'clock in the morning. Each pupil takes three classes a week.
An advance course for those qualified is held Wednesday and Friday at 10 o'clock in the morning and 7 o'clock in the evening. At these classes teamwork and other special subjects not usually included in first aid courses are being taught.
At the conclusion of the courses, certificates will be awarded those who have qualified for them.
The classes are under the direction of H. B. Humphrey, Assistant Mining Engineer of the Bureau of Mines.
