Denver.
Jan. 13.--The right of the
United States government to revoke
permits was upheld yesterday in a
decision by Judge Lewis of the federal
district court, ordering the Colorado
Powder company to pay a monthly
rental of $100 for government land in
Garfield county, Colorado, on which
its powder plant is located.
Failure to pay the rental, it was
held, would subject the plant to
confiscation by the government in
sixty days. The plant is valued at
$300,000. The case reverts to the
proclamation of President Roosevelt,
making the site a part of the Holy
Cross forest reserve.
