Full Text

Mr. Muzzy, who was a short time since nominated by the President as Collector of the Port of New-London, in place of William Law, an old revolutionary soldier, has not been deemed worthy of holding the office. The Senate a few days ago rejected the nomination. Whether the President will persist, and re-nominate him, as in the case of Noah, and the Senate become pliant enough to yield, we shall probably see in a few days.

We learn, since the above, that Ingoldsby W. Crawford has been nominated by the President for the office, and that the Senate have confirmed it.
