ENROLLS IN
INSURANCE COURSE
Urbana-Champaign, Ill.
James D. Burgess of Wadsworth Road, Zion, is one of twenty members enrolled in the University of Illinois Insurance short course being sponsored by the Illinois Association of Insurance Agents May 11 to 15, for the purpose of helping agents to better the interests of Insurance Buyers.
The course is offered in four sessions through the joint auspices of the U. of I. Extension Division and the College of Commerce of the University of Illinois and is held at the Women's Building at the State Fair Grounds, Springfield.
The first part of the course has been completed, being held in February and dealing with fire insurance and allied lines. The session in May will cover ocean and inland marine insurance, burglary, robbery and theft coverage. The third session will meet in September and the final session in November.
Dr. Robert I. Mehr, Assistant Professor of Economics, University of Illinois, is directing the course which is to become a permanent part of the offerings of the University Extension Division. The staff consists of leaders in the property and casualty insurance field.
Upon completion of the course, a banquet will be held at which time enrollees will be awarded certificates.
