The Pending Statehood Bill
In a private letter received from a democratic senator we are informed that the outlook is now favorable for the passage of the statehood bill, the only question being just what form it will be in when finally disposed of.
The house bill, which was passed unanimously, has many friends in the senate. Should the senate pass the Hamilton bill the whole controversy would thus be disposed of, but should the senate bill be passed by that body there would be danger of delay in conference, which might result in failure.-International.
