WILLIAMSPORT, Pa., June 9.
Police were asked by the chief of police in Lewisburg to send officers from this city to help subdue two hundred or more youths, said to be students of Bucknell University, who are on a rampage in the borough since Wednesday. The Lewisburg Chief of police said the students were firing cannon crackers, dynamite and other explosives in the main streets, starting small fires on automobiles and burning the dresses off of women in the streets. A number of persons were injured when they trampled the flags of the Veterans memorial parade at the cemetery, and smashed a number of windows.
