By the British Packet, Greyhound, Captain Dunn, who arrived here on Sunday last, after a passage of five weeks from Falmouth, we have papers to the 5th of May.
LONDON, May 6.
It is agreed on all hands, by letters of private as well as public authority, that there will be no war between Holland and the Emperor: preliminaries have been exchanged at Paris by the respective Plenipotentiaries.
According to accounts from the continent, the treaty lately ratified between France and Holland, is particularly designed to prevent all future union of the Dutch with this country: and we understand that one leading article in it stipulates a mutual assistance of 15 sail of the line, in case of a war.
