LEMUS CONFERS WITH WAGE-HOUR HEAD

WASHINGTON--(ANP)-- Rienzi B. Lemus, president of the Brotherhood of Dining Car Employes, conferred with Colonel Philip B. Fleming, federal wages and hours administrator in the department of labor with reference to the application of the prescribed minimum wage act for dining car employes whose rates are below the standard requirements.

The results of the conference were entirely satisfactory, with President Lemus being assured that a hearing would be held on September 23, to decide finally whether the 36 cent hour minimum wage recommended for rail employes by the railway industry committee, following extensive hearings in Washington during last February and March, should be applied.
