Full Text

We have, from many gentlemen of veracity, confirmations of the continuance of desertion from Mr. Washington's army at Valley Forge. Thirteen fugitives and a corporal of artillery came in on one day, and it is confidently asserted that for the last three months, near nine hundred deserters have come in to Philadelphia. They have converted the young men's house at Bethlehem into a hospital, where, and in another at Trenton, the putrid Fever carries off great number every week, there being an extreme want of bark and other medicines essential in the treatment of camp distempers.
