Bishop J. Claude Allen
The presiding bishop of three conferences, comprising eight Midwestern states of the Christian Methodist Episcopal church, will be in the Twin Cities on Sunday, April 26, in his official capacity.
Bishop J. Claude Allen will visit the two churches he established in Minneapolis and St. Paul while serving as head of the Kingdom Extension Department.
At 11 o'clock Sunday morning (April 26) he will deliver the sermon at Holsey Memorial CME church, 726 Humboldt Avenue No., Minneapolis. That afternoon at 4 o'clock Bishop Allen will speak at Carter CME church in St. Paul, St. Albans and Aurora.
From 5 until 7 o'clock a public reception will be held at Carter Chapel in his honor. All are invited to attend services at both churches and greet the bishop at the afternoon reception later. Rev. M. C. Conwell is the pastor of Holsey and Carter Chapel.
