It is perceived, that we take no interest or part in the clamour about the next President, but we think it probable from all we see that the vote of this state will be thrown away, unless all the candidates failing of obtaining a majority, it should be reduced to the par of an equality with the least states of the union, in the decision by the House of Representatives. We believe that the most prominent candidates Messrs. Crawford and Adams have no party in their favour here. General Jackson decidedly stands the highest, according to all the appearances which have hitherto been presented.
