Appoint Trevor Official Rep.

Trevor has been delegated by the Key West Chamber of Commerce to be its representative at the hearings, and the resolution last night will give Trevor an additional 10 minutes to present his case favoring the National airways. All parties who intervened in the matter are allowed 10 minutes to present their arguments before the CAB at the hearings.

Resolution was passed approving a plat of the Matecumbe Ocean-Bay Front Property, Incorporated for record.
Reads Ruling of Auditor
County Clerk Earl Adams read a letter from State Auditor Bryan Willis relative to the payment of fees to Justices of Peace in order that their offices be maintained.
Justice of the Peace Roy Hamlin had asked for expenses to run his office. At that time
County Attorney Sawyer had said that he did not believe they were entitled to this.
Willis' letter read: "I know of no law or authority which permits county commissioners to pay office rent for justices of the peace. If the justice has an office, he pays his own office rent."
To Send Letter To Asst. States Attorney
The County Commissioners went on record as advising Assistant States Attorney Curry Harris that they would pay no bills incurred in a coroner's inquest held in the third Justice of Peace district or in any other district whereby it is necessary to have a Justice of Peace from a district other than his own, unless the Justice of the Peace in which inquest is being held is out of the county or is confined to his bed with illness.
Reason for the letter to States Attorney Curry Harris was that with the payment of bills already contracted, the County will have spent more money than was budgeted for inquests for the entire year.
Clerk Earl Adams had revealed this information to the County Commissioners.
Tells of Need for Truck Repair
Commissioner Harry Harris told his colleagues of the urgent need to repair the two fire trucks now on the Keys. Just this past week, a home had burned down on Plantation Key that could have been saved had the trucks been in service. (The fire trucks are on keys without batteries, hose, etc.)
Harris was assured that the needed equipment would be forthcoming as quickly as a minimum needed cost of servicing the trucks was given the commission.
The monthly report of County budgeted accounts was presented by Clerk Earl Adams. The report is as follows:
