We hear from the District of Shirley, in the County of Middlesex, That on the 29th ult. the following Accident happened there, viz. As Mr. Hugh Moors of that Place was cutting down a Tree but a little Way from his House, just as the Tree was falling he looked up and saw a Son of his about five Years old, coming to him, in the Place where the Tree was going to fall; on which he ran and catch'd him in his Arms; but in turning about to save his Child's Life (which he did) he lost his own, by one of the Limbs raking his Head, which kill'd him instantly; the Child was hurt but a little, and is like to do well. Mr. Moors is much lamented by all that knew him; for he was a kind Husband, a tender Parent, and a good Neighbour.
