Watch Crinkles
Around The
Eyes

They call them laugh wrinkles, those little sun rays around the eyes. Who laughs at them? Not the woman who has them. She hates them. (Call them turkey tracks,
crow's feet, laugh lines, doesn't make a bit of difference to hear. Seeing them, she comes to the conclusion that her
birthdays should not be days of celebration. Why bring
out the lighted cake? Why the pleasant messages from
friends? Darn!

Well time won't be on her side
she'd better get active. See what
she can do in the way of rejuvenation. She knows that, as the years
creep on, lines will dig in. That
mustn't happen. By being vigilant
and attending to her good-looks
chores, she can ward off further
furrows.
If she can't win the war against
old man Time, he can at least de-
clare an armistice, keep the ene-
my from invading more territory-
that is, if she is not a squinter. If
she keeps on squinting, all is lost.
The vile thing about that habit is
that it not only crinkles the tis-
sues that surround the eyes, but
also it creates frown lines.

VISIT SPECIALIST
What about the eyesight? If it
needs specialist for an examination.
You may be surprised at the re-
port. Sometimes changes come so
slowly and gradually that we are
scarcely aware of them.
If you are worrying about turkey tracks
feel that vision is not as good as
it used to be, hie yourself to a
specialist.
If you don't need glasses, then
you have lines because your facial
tissues are hungry, half starved.
Feed them with a nourishing
cream. Use the proper massage
movements. Make every endeavor
to tone the flesh,
iron out the
creases. The fibers in that part of
the facial
surface are delicate and
small. They call for careful light
treatment.
Apply heavy emollient to a clean
skin surface but, before doing that,
bathe the eyes with warm water,
then with cold to make the circu-
lation gallop.

Place the first finger on the
eyelid, sweep outward to the tem-
ple,
do a little circle there, come
back under
the eye to starting
point.
The movements will follow
a line like that of a figure eight.
Be gentle, don't press deeply into
the flesh.

USE ICE CUBES
Follow with a light tapping with
flattened fingers. Friction with an
ice cube while the cream remains
on.
In the morning, apply cold wa-
ter, dry gently
and use an a-
stringent, being careful not get it
into the eyes. Witch hazel serves
very well for this purpose, and
safe to use.
When the astringent has dried
apply more cream. Don't remove it
from the upper eyelids when you
apply make-up. Shining lids make
the eyes look dewy.
The more the flesh is lubricated,
the less chance wrinkles have to
take permanent residence. So, be
faithful to your good looks duties.
