City Fathers Call A Public Meeting To Give Citizens Chance To Express Their Opinions

At the meeting of the council held last Thursday evening the matter of the coming appointment of a townsite trustee was discussed and for the purpose of getting the sentiment of the people of Wrangell it was decided to hold a public meeting, and next Thurs. evening at 8:30 P. M. was decided upon. The meeting to be held in the town hall on Church Street.

The matter of a townsite trustee is of vital importance to every citizen and property holder of Wrangell and everyone should attend. There are several local men who are willing to accept the position but it seems to be the sentiment that an outside man should be asked for. While the appointing of a trustee resides wholly in Washington the fact that any one man is endorsed by the citizens of Wrangell will carry much weight and is something that should not be considered lightly. The townsite survey has hung fire for several years and the appointing of the right man is a long step towards getting things settled in a satisfactory manner.
