Berlin Reports Recapture of Positions in Champagne.

Further Gains Are Made by German Forces in Serbia.

Berlin, Oct. 26.-German advances on all fronts are reported in today's official statement.

German positions over a front of 250 metres in the Champagne, north of Le Mesnil, which the French captured on Sunday, are said to have been retaken.

Five officers and 150 French soldiers were captured. Only one small trench northeast of Le Mesnil remains in the hands of the French.

On the northern part of the Russian front, Field Marshal von Hindenburg's army again has crossed the Illoukst district and reconquered Kasimirshiki farm.

Further south, the army of Prince Leopold repulsed Russian attacks east of Baranovichi and south of Vygonovskoye lake.

The army of General Von Linsingen has stormed the Russian position east of Kolki and west of Czartorysk and repulsed a Russian counter attack. Four officers, 1,450 men and ten machine guns were captured.

A further advance was made yesterday by the German forces in Serbia. East of Visgrad, Bosnia, further progress was made and several positions were occupied.

South of Palanka, ground was gained on the northern slope of Raca valley. Further east, the Germans captured Markovatsc, Laope and Kut shevo. In the last three days 960 Serbians have been captured.

German Official Statement.

The text of the German official statement as given out today by the army headquarters staff follows:

"In the Western Theater:

"North of Souchez, enemy hand grenade attacks were repulsed.

October 24 at a salient angle north of Le Mesnil, in the Champagne, about 250 yards of our position temporarily fell into the hands of the enemy. The French yesterday were driven out. Five officers and more than 150 men remained in our hands. Northeast of Le Mesnil the enemy still occupies a small German trench.
"On Combreres height our mine explosions were successful. French mining in the Bois Le Pretre achieved no success.
"Eastern theater:
"Army of Von Hindenburg—The Illoukst sector again has been crossed north of Iloukst. The village of Kasimirshiki, which temporarily was taken by the enemy Sunday, again is firmly held by us.
Russ Positions Stormed.
"Army of Prince Leopold of Bavaria—Russian attacks east of Baranvichi and in the vicinity of our positions on the canal south of Lake Vygonovskoye were repulsed.
"Army of General Von Linsingen—To the east of Kolki and to the west of Czartorysk, the enemy positions were stormed during the night of October 25. A general Russian counter attack was unsuccessful. Further progress was made yesterday. The enemy left in our hands four officers and 1,450 men and ten machine guns.
"In the Balkan Theater:
"East of Visegrad line of heights, Suhagorapanos has been reached.
"An attack made by the armies of General Von Kovess and General Von Gallwitz is favorably progressing. South of Palanka, the northern slopes of the Raca Valley are in our possession, while further east Markovatsc Laope and Kutsnevo have been taken by us.
"During the past three days 960 Serbians have been made prisoners.
There are no fresh reports to hand regarding the army of General Boy-adjieff (Bulgarian)."
