In a Letter from Falmouth, dated Feb 17, 1759,
there is the following Paragraph, viz.

"All Thoughts of a Peace at present are at an
End, notwithstanding France has offered it in our own
Terms, giving up Senegal and Goree in Africa; which
is absolutely refused until we hear of the taking Mar-
tinico, or some other Island in that Part of the World;
and likewise of the Success at Quebec, to the North-
ward of you. Admiral Saunders is to command up
the River St. Lawrence. The King of Spain was
not dead the Tenth Instant."
