On Wednesday morning a couple of plows were hanging to the Liberty pole, around which were clustered some wagons, a sign from a store, and some other things. Some few other extras were cut during the evening about town possibly not of the most patriotic character; but as Lee's army is not likely to surrender again soon, we presume the extras of the boys will be considered as an expression of jubilant feelings.
We believe every one felt joyful, and pleased to see others enjoying themselves; and well they might, for the end of the war, and with it the end of starvation prices, could be seen drawing nigh; with a united and happy country in the coming prospect. May it all be soon.
