Children Faint In Class Room In School When Hunger Sweeps Town
Ventura, Calif., March 2.- The fainting of two school children from hunger here yesterday and the subsequent disclosure that a number of families were in dire need aroused civic and charitable organizations to activity today.

An immediate investigation disclosed the fact that at least fifteen other children were badly undernourished because their fathers were unemployed and could not provide enough food for them.

The district affected is one of a large laboring population. Several school children said they had not eaten regularly.

The undernourished children are under the care of physicians.
