Prospect of A war With Texas.—From the Natchitoches Herald of the 6th inst., we learn that Gen. Rusk, with about 100 Texans, had crossed the Sabine in pursuit of some Caddoes, who have been in the Republic, and after disarming them and threatening the Agent for furnishing them, as he said, with the arms and ammunition, he recrossed the river. Immediately on the receipt of the intelligence at Fort Jesup, Col. Many with all the troops under his command, proceeded to Shreveport, the scene of the violation, but the result of his expedition was yet unknown.—Atlas.
