A young man of good appearance, well educated, and of very respectable connexions, (name not given) was convicted of grand larceny after taking a pocket-book containing more than $300 from a fellow passenger on a steam-boat whilst passing up or down the river early in June. He was soon detected and committed. It was his first offence. He pleaded guilty on arraignment and in court.
