Full Text

The Season.—The earth still continues dry, and but for the night dews which have been uncommonly heavy this spring, the grass crops would hardly pay for cutting. Onions have been almost entirely ruined by the worm; they commence eating the plant at the surface of the earth, and always prove fatal; four thousand of these worms have been taken from one eighth of an acre of land, in the vicinity of this place. The Cherry, for which Warren and Bristol are famed, has experienced a pretty severe blast; a common crop, however, is anticipated.
