Boston Courier.
Beverly, 28th March, 1833.
To the Editors of the Courier;
Under the head, 'Nathan Dane's Ordinance.' in yesterday's Courier, you say, 'that ordinance was prepared by the late Nathan Dane.' I am happy to inform you that Nathan Dane is yet alive and in good health, and is employed more hours in the day in writing more pages of good sense, than the whole South Carolina delegation. To judge from Mr Dane's daily walk in all weathers, he will yet outlive nullification, and possibly Mr Hayne, as he has not that gentleman's hot temper to injure his constitution. And when his career is finished here his memory will be connected with something far more honorable than nullification and disunion.
