BABCOCK STILL AT HEAD

WISCONSIN MAN CHAIRMAN OF REPUBLICAN COMMITTEE.

WASHINGTON, April 9.

The Republican congressional campaign committee at a meeting tonight at which Representative Mercer, of Nebraska presided, unanimously re-elected the old officers as follows:

Representative Babcock, of Wisconsin, chairman.

Representative Sherman, of New York, vice chairman.

Representative Overstreet, Indiana, secretary.

Col. W. B. Thompson, of this city, treasurer.

The chairman was authorized to appoint an executive committee of nine members and to fill any vacancy existing in the membership of the committee. The only vacancy now existing is that of the member from Oregon. The meeting was harmonious.
