HUNTERS FLOCKING NORTH

County Clerk Issues Record Bunch of Deer Licenses,

Detroit and Wayne county will be well represented at the annual slaughter of deer, which is to occur in the northern woods during the present month.

The season opened on Nov. 1, and since that time over 400 licenses have been issued in the county clerk's office to Detroit and Wayne county people, who will spend a week or more in search of the last big game left in the state.

More licenses have been issued to date than were issued during all of last November, and the rush is still on. A number of sportsmen postponed their trip to the north until after election, and these men crowded into the county building, Wednesday.

Although the county clerk's office was supposed to be closed on election day. County Clerk Farrell kept one of his deputies in the office for the accommodation of hunters, and he was busy the greater part of the day.
