On Saturday last the party of volunteers which went in pursuit of the Indians, returned, without having come up with them; they had got two days march ahead. At the Salt Licks the Indians attacked Capt. Robins, who, with a few men, and a quantity of goods, was proceeding to the Moravian Towns. The party was sleeping in a small hut built by Mr. David Duncan, and one of them having occasion to go out in the night, was struck on the head with a tomahawk, this alarmed the rest, who immediately got up and after firing a few shots, dispersed the Indians, and returned to this Town. The wounded man is in a fair way of recovering.
