Quintuplets Are Born To Woman In New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS - (INS) A 28-year-old Negro woman gave birth to quintuplets in New Orleans yesterday, but the tiny babies died within four hours. The mother, Mrs. Alberta Allen, of Whitecastle, La., is in critical condition at Charity Hospital where the quints were born within 45 minutes. The infants, each of which weighed less than a pound, were three-and-a-half months premature. The young mother has three other children. They are three, four and five years old.
