FROM SPAIN.

The brig Sibyl. Capt. Derby, arrived at Boston, from Majorca, Ivica, Alicant, and Gibraltar. Sailed from the latter place on the 20th Oct. Capt. D. informs that just before he left Ivica (11th Oct) a packet arrived there from Alicant, bringing information that Tarragona had been re-taken by the Spaniards, and that the French had all been massacred. she also brought information of a battle at Valencia, in which the French lost between 4 and 5000 men, and were completely defeated.

Capt. D. further informs, that the French still held possession of St. Roque (about 11,000 strong) and the Spaniards were encamped near Gibraltar.
