OCLES SPEECH.—Some idea may be formed, even by those who have not read this speech, of its effectiveness, and of the commotion which its "facts and figures," as to Van Buren's extravagance and ostentation, have raised in the Loco Foco camp, from the circumstance that the great Globe has for a time almost ceased all other "charges" against the Harrison party, and has devoted several of its broadsides to an attempt at reviewing and mystifying this speech. The Globe of Tuesday contains a seven column editorial, which is sent forth as the "conclusion" of this long winded, laborious review!—Balt. Pat.
