Full Text

The Mails.—We have received nothing later from the East than we published in our last. The irregularity with which the river mail arrives at Little Rock, is a subject of much complaint—states, from the 2d to the 6th, when there had been no arrival, the "Democrat" past, instead of arriving regularly three times a week, it has came through semi-occasionally. We hope the Postmaster General will have the evil corrected, or the route altogether abandoned. As the river route has failed to answer the purpose, some other more reliable route should be established.
