Angeline Willard, a crazy woman arrested in Ballard, was before Judge Humes yesterday and by him committed to the asylum at Steilacoom. She was examined in court by Drs. Eames and Raymond.
The woman is 24 years old and first began to show signs of insanity in September, 1895. From that time to the present she has been very morose, taking no interest in anything going on about her, and several times was so absent-minded as to jump into the bath with her clothes on. She is also inclined to sulky habits. During the progress of the hearing the unfortunate woman's husband sat in the back of the room sobbing as if his heart would break.
The entire case was one of the most pathetic witnessed in the superior court for many a day.
