A Young Lady Shot.

DICKINSON, N. D., Sept. 14.—A singular shooting affair took place at Richardton, a neighboring town, during the night. Fred Smith, a laborer at the Richardton hotel, took the liberty to go into a young lady's sleeping room. She ordered him out, but he refused to go. She then hit him over the head with broom and ejected him from the room Smith returned with a cowboy revolver and fired two shots, both taking effect in her leg, just above the knee. The reports brought men to the scene, whereupon the wretch tried to take his own life, but was prevented. The girl will survive.
