BOY INJURED IN COLLISION ON HIGHWAY

Charles Royce received slight head injuries in an accident involving his bicycle and an automobile driven by William Sanders Sunday on the highway between Brawley and Imperial.

Sanders reported to the sheriff's office, explaining that he honked several times and when he attempted to pass the bicyclist, Royce turned across the highway in front of him. Sanders was forced to run his car into the ditch to avoid striking the boy. The injuries were received, he said, when Royce's bicycle struck the fender of the Sanders car.
