Serious Accident at Newport.
Kershaw Dean, son of William Dean of Newark, met with a painful accident last evening in Newport. While passing the M. E. church his horse took fright and started at such a furious rate that Mr. Dean was thrown out in a violent manner.
He was picked up in an insensible condition and carried into Hyatt's hotel, and Dr. Booth was immediately summoned to attend him. As the accident happened last evening and the telephonic despatch announcing the accident was received this morning it is presumed that Mr. Dean is recovering.
