As an act of justice to a highly respectable young gentleman likewise employed in the Post Office, we will state, that the name of the youth arrested at Norfolk is Wm. O. Gee.

A young man from Petersburg, Wm. O. Gee, employed as an under clerk in the Post Office at Petersburg, was apprehended in Norfolk by the Deputy Marshal on a warrant from the Chief Justice of the United States, issued upon the information of Thomas Shore, Esq., Post Master at Petersburg. Suspected of embezzling post office money after suddenly quitting his job and living extravagantly, he purchased 50 barrels of flour in Richmond, shipped on board the schr. Regulator, Norton, for St. Domingo through his friend Sparrow, and attempted to board the vessel in Norfolk, but was arrested.
