Petertourg, Sept. 1. The Number of Forces now on Foot in this Empire, that are ready to take the Field upon any Emergency, amount, according to a List lately sent to Court, to 200,000 effective Men, 160,000 of which are Foot, and 40,000 Horse, besides Calmucks, Cossacks, and the Militia of the Country. Major General Brown, Son-in-law of the late Field Marshal Count Lacy, and the Count de Brigly, Commander of the Troops quarter'd in Esthonia, are both soliciting their Discharge from this Service.
