INDIAN HEALTH ACTIVITIES
BUDGETED FOR $52,292,000

WASHINGTON An appropriation of $52,292,000 for Indian Health activities in the year beginning July 1 was proposed today in President Eisenhower's budget.

The amount is $2,160,000 more than was budgeted for these activities last year.

The Indian Health program provides medical care and public health services for Indians under federal care and for Alaska Natives.

New replacement hospitals are expected to be opened during 1961-62 in Keams Canyon, Ariz., Kotzebue, Alaska, and San Carlos, Ariz.
