All decked out in ribbons won at the state fair, the Renville county fair and the McLeod county fair, the A. W. Park and Son herd of purebred Hampshire hogs will compete for more awards at the Redwood county fair next week.
Sixteen head were shown by Sherman Park at the state fair where they won the following prizes: first: senior yearling boar; second: junior yearling boar, senior boar pig; second and third: junior yearling sow; third: senior yearling sow, junior sow pig, aged herd, young herd, young herd bred by exhibitor, produce of sow; fourth and sixth: senior sow pigs; seventh, junior boar pig.
At the Bird Island fair, the Redwood Falls herd won eight firsts, four seconds and a third and included the grand champion sow. The Hutchinson fair is on this week.
